Booking without an account

19 Aug 20264 min read

You can book and pay for a session on Leshya without creating an account. Booking never requires signing up. The only nudge to create one comes after you have paid.

The flow

Find a counselor through the public directory, city, concern, or language pages, or a shared profile link. There is no sign-in wall anywhere in this.

Pressing Book now on an offering opens the booking page, starting with the schedule: a month calendar with availability dots and time slots shown in your local timezone. If the offering supports both, you will see an Online or In-person choice.

On the details step, you can sign in, sign up, or choose "Continue as guest instead". Continuing as a guest asks for your full name and email, with an "I'm under 18" checkbox that adults never need to touch.

The review step shows the date and time, session mode, fee, and what happens next: a meeting link by email for online sessions, or the street address, which appears here and never on the public profile. You can apply a gift card at this step too.

You pay through Razorpay, by UPI, card, or netbanking. Your slot is held for 15 minutes with a live countdown, and the booking confirms the moment payment goes through. Free sessions and sessions fully covered by a gift card confirm instantly, with no payment step.

The success page reads "You're all set!" with your session details, plus an invitation to create an account: "Find your meeting link any time."

Rules worth knowing

If you tick "I'm under 18", you will see a calm notice that a parent or guardian needs to set up an account first, which includes a guardian consent step. This is self-attested, and nothing about it is stored on the booking.

If the email you enter already has an account, you will see "Welcome back. Sign in and we'll fill in your details." Submitting the form anyway is blocked, and you are prompted to sign in instead.

If your 15-minute hold runs out, the screen changes to "This time was released. Pick a new time and we'll hold it again", and the slot opens up for others. While time remains, the hold screen offers a "Pay now" retry, plus a status check if a payment is still confirming.

If your payment arrives after the hold has already closed, you will see a message that the team will contact you with the next step, and an admin is notified to sort it out. Nobody loses money silently.

Without an account afterwards, everything you need, your confirmation, meeting link, reminders, and cancellation link, arrives by email. There is no bookings page to sign in to.

One email cannot hold both a counselor account and a customer account, so this guest flow is how a counselor books their own therapy. It shows up in their own dashboard, under "Your own sessions".

What arrives by email

Your booking confirmation includes the session details and the meeting link, or the address for in-person. For a first session with a counselor, it also links to a short set of questions to answer before you meet. That link works straight from the email, no account needed.

You will also get a reminder 24 hours before the session, and reschedule or cancellation confirmations if either happens.

What to do next

If you decide to create an account afterwards, our customer registration guide covers that flow, and your past guest bookings stay reachable through the links in your emails either way. If you want to pay with a gift code, see our gift cards guide.
