1. What Leshya is
Leshya is a platform that helps you discover counselors, understand their expertise, and book sessions with them. Counselors on Leshya are independent professionals. They are not employed by Leshya, and the guidance they give in a session is their own professional responsibility. Leshya itself does not provide counseling, therapy, medical advice, or diagnosis.
Some counselors practise together as a clinic. A clinic runs its own team and front desk, decides which of its counselors take bookings, and may take payment at its reception. When you book at a clinic, your session is provided by the counselor and their clinic. A practice may also have its own web address on Leshya, like practicename.leshya.app. That page is the practice's own, running on Leshya's software, and the practice is who you are dealing with there.
Leshya is not an emergency service. If you or someone near you is in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services, or call the Tele-MANAS helpline at 14416, available across India at any hour.
2. Who can use Leshya
You can use Leshya if you are 18 or older. If you are younger than 18, a parent or guardian needs to consent before sessions can be booked for you. Counselors joining Leshya must hold the qualifications they present on their profile, and every counselor is reviewed before their profile goes live: an independent counselor by Leshya, and a counselor at a clinic by that clinic, which Leshya has itself reviewed.
3. Your account
You can book a session as a guest or with an account. An account lets you keep your details, see your booking history, and manage upcoming sessions. Please keep your sign-in details private and let us know if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for the information you share with us being accurate.
4. Booking and paying for sessions
When you book a paid session and pay online, you pay through Leshya at checkout. Payments are collected by Leshya and processed by Razorpay, so Leshya is the name you may see on your bank or card statement. We hold your payment safely and release it to your counselor after your session, once a short review window for missed sessions and concerns has passed. If a session is missed or disputed, the amount stays on hold until we resolve it with you both. Free sessions confirm without a payment step.
Some clinics let you book now and pay at reception, by cash, UPI or card. The clinic collects and holds that money directly, and Leshya never receives it. For those payments, questions about money, including refunds, sit with the clinic. Our refund policy explains how this works.
The price, duration, and mode of each session are set by the counselor and shown before you book. A booking is only final when you see it confirmed in Leshya.
Gift cards are closed-loop credit for sessions on Leshya. They are not redeemable for cash and cannot be used outside Leshya. A gift card works like a bearer voucher: anyone with the code can apply it toward a session, so keep the code private. A gift card expires 12 months after activation. If a booking paid with a gift card is cancelled, the amount returns to the card unless the product tells you otherwise.
5. Cancelling, rescheduling and missed sessions
You can cancel or reschedule a booking from your booking details, within the counselor's policy shown at the time of booking. When a refund applies to a payment made online, Leshya returns it to the payment method you used. Your counselor, or their clinic's front desk, can move a confirmed session to a new time any time before it starts. If that happens, your booking updates right away and we let you know, and you can cancel a session that was moved this way for a full refund, whatever the timing. If one side does not join a session, either side can report it, our team reviews what happened, and the session amount stays on hold until it is resolved. You can read the full detail in our refund policy.
6. Sessions online and in person
Online sessions happen over Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, and the meeting link is shared once your booking is confirmed. For in-person sessions, the practice's address is shared with your confirmed booking. Please treat session time, and the people in it, with care and respect.
7. For counselors
Counselors agree to present accurate credentials, keep their availability current, honor confirmed bookings, and follow the professional and ethical standards of their field. Profiles go live only after review: Leshya's for an independent counselor, the clinic's own for a counselor at a reviewed clinic. When plan fees are required, a plan may be needed before new bookings open. Counselors set their own session prices. Leshya collects each session payment and makes it available to withdraw once that session's review window has passed; amounts under dispute stay on hold until resolved. Leshya may pause or remove a profile that does not meet these standards.
Counselors can invite other counselors to Leshya with their personal invite link. During the pilot, when a counselor you invite completes their first paid session, our team reviews the referral and may add one month of zero commission for both counselors, for up to three invited counselors. Invitations are meant for real practitioners you vouch for; self-referrals and made-up accounts do not qualify. As the pilot grows we may change or close the program, and a reward already granted stays granted.
Customers have a personal invite link too. When someone who joins through your link completes their first session, our team may add a session credit for you both as a thank you. Credits are added by hand, have no fixed amount, and the program may change as we grow.
8. For clinics
A clinic on Leshya runs its own team, page, and front desk. By using Leshya, a clinic agrees to keep its details and team accurate, to invite only counselors who genuinely practise there and hold the qualifications they present, and to review each counselor's profile before opening them to bookings.
Money a clinic collects at its reception is the clinic's to account for. When a refund is due on a payment taken at the desk, the clinic returns it promptly, the same way it was paid, and records it on the booking.
Client information a clinic can see exists only to run sessions and the practice on Leshya. A clinic agrees not to export it, sell it, or use it for marketing, and to limit access to people who need it for that work. Leshya remains answerable to clients for their personal data, so these rules are conditions of using the platform, and breaking them is grounds for suspension.
A clinic's plan covers the period it names, and the fee is not refundable once that period begins. If Leshya withdraws the service during a paid period without the clinic being at fault, the unused part is refunded pro-rata. Suspension for breaking these terms does not refund the remainder. If a clinic's plan lapses, its public page and new bookings pause, while its console stays open and every session already booked is honoured.
Leshya may suspend a clinic that puts clients at risk or breaks these terms. Claims that arise from a clinic's own practice, its counselors' work, money taken at its desk, or its handling of client information, sit with the clinic.
9. Using Leshya respectfully
Please do not misuse Leshya. That includes creating accounts with false information, harassing counselors or customers, attempting to move platform bookings off the platform to avoid confirmation and safety steps, scraping or copying profile content, or interfering with how the service runs. We may suspend accounts that put others at risk.
10. Content and ownership
Leshya's name, design, artwork, and software belong to us. Profile content belongs to the counselor who wrote it; by publishing it on Leshya they let us show it to people looking for support, including in search results and previews.
11. Our responsibility
We work to keep Leshya reliable, accurate, and safe, and every counselor is reviewed before they go live, as section 2 describes. Even so, we cannot guarantee the outcome of any session, and Leshya is not responsible for the advice a counselor gives. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any claim connected to the platform is limited to the amount you paid to Leshya in the twelve months before the claim.
Session conversations are private between you and your counselor, except where the law, safety, or a conduct review requires action. If you have a concern about a counselor's conduct, tell us and we will review it and act on the profile where needed. A claim about the counseling itself sits with the counselor, and at a clinic, with the counselor and their clinic, not with Leshya.
When something goes wrong, our role is specific. Money Leshya holds is decided by what the platform can see: booking times, whether each side joined, and what both sides tell us. Money a clinic collected at its desk is between you and the clinic, because Leshya never held it. Where conduct or safety is in question, we act on access: we can pause or remove a profile, or suspend a clinic. What was said within a session is private, so nobody at Leshya can judge it, and we do not.
Leshya is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it available and accurate, and we cannot promise it will always be free of interruptions. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses.
If your use of Leshya breaks these terms or the law and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover the costs that claim causes us. Counselors answer for claims that arise from their own professional practice.
12. Changes, governing law and disputes
We may update these terms as Leshya grows. When a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect, and the latest version will always live on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
If a concern is not resolved through our grievance process, any dispute that consumer protection law does not reserve for consumer commissions, including every dispute between Leshya and a counselor or clinic, is resolved by arbitration in Surat, Gujarat: a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with proceedings in English. Subject to that, the courts of Surat, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that consumer protection law gives you.
13. Contact and grievances
Questions about these terms are welcome. Write to us at support@leshya.app and we will get back to you.
If something needs to be put right, our grievance officer is Chhavi Kothari, reachable at support@leshya.app. We acknowledge a grievance within 48 hours and resolve it within 15 days.
