Continuing with your counselor

19 Aug 20263 min read

This guide covers how you book your next session with a counselor you have already met, and how gentle the reminders around it stay.

Book again

Once you have had a session with a counselor and nothing is coming up with them, a quiet Book again appears in three places. In My bookings, a card reads "You last met {name} on {date}", with Book again and View session. On the past booking's details page, there is a compact Book again block. And on the counselor's profile, if you are signed in as someone who has met them, a small "you have met before" line appears with Book again.

Book again takes you straight to that counselor's open times, with the right session type already chosen, so you only need to pick a slot and pay.

When your counselor suggests a time

Your counselor can suggest a time for your next session. When they do, you get an email and a notification, and the suggestion shows at the top of My bookings.

Opening it takes you to that time, already selected. You confirm in one step: pick it, pay, done. Nothing is booked or charged until you confirm, and the time is not held for you, so it stays open to others until you take it. If someone books it first, you will see a calm note and the counselor's other open times.

You never have to decline. If a suggested time does not work for you, just leave it. Nothing happens, and no one is told you said no.

The one reminder we send

The morning after a session, at 9 am, we send a single reminder to book your next one, and only if you do not already have something coming up with that counselor. That is the only message we send after a session. Nothing nags beyond it.

If you would rather not get these, turn off Continuity reminders under My account, in Notifications. A suggested time will still show in My bookings either way.
